Things you will need: Secondary xbox live accountStep 1: You must have an xbox live account with a newly redeemed 12 month subscription. This may work with 3 months but I haven't tried.
Step 2: Go to support.xbox.com
Step 3: Start a chat with an agent.
Step 4: Tell the agent that you accidentally redeemed your subscription on the wrong account and would like it to be removed.
Note: Sometimes they may ask for the code
Step 5: If they cancel the membership they will contact you via email with the new code. They will most likely send a 12 month.
Step 6: If they do ask them to split it into (4) 3 months. (Stay in the chat) They will send you four different codes.
They will tell you not to use the new 12 month code because it will be flagged.
Step 7: Redeem that 12 month code on another account and request another new code because you redeemed on the wrong account.
Step 8: Enjoy your extra year of xbox live.
